What's in a name?

Training: The method or process of bringing a person to an increased standard of skill and proficiency by practice and instruction.

Project: An endeavor with personal significance; a purposeful series of steps moving towards the accomplishment of a goal.

I am a natural teacher and a self-made athlete. I love fitness, and helping people get fit. Having gone through my share of sickness, pains, and depression growing up, I've found that physical fitness and health provide a strong foundation for mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

All of the science- and data-driven research I have done, as well as my own personal experience, has led me to the conclusion that nutrition and exercise are the two most potent and positive medicines we have available. Western medicine is really emergency intervention medicine, and preventive medicine is really just saying that our lifestyle has us on a path to disease. They way we live our lives IS our medicine, including the realms of thought, feeling, body, and spirit. While my work is focused on the physical (exercise and nutrition), it is in the context of a holistic awareness that the way we live our lives leads directly to the quality of our experience of life, today and forever. My passion is to use my skills and knowledge in a good way, that contributes to peoples lives, and ripples outwards to help create a better world for all.

Based in Whistler, BC since January 2006, except five months back in Ontario last summer and fall. Currently focusing on personal training clients within the Whistler community +/- 8km or so, but it may be possible to work out some kind of a weekly class or intensive for clients or organizations from Squamish to Pemberton and Mount Currie.
